Here's what I learned during this whirlwind of a week.
While in Saudi, a few guys from Andretti's F1 team recognized me. "Joe, we've done three Trifectas!" they said.
A day later in Miami, I was at a big networking event—some of the world's most powerful people were there: Musk, Bezos, PIF. While I was talking to someone, a group pulled me aside. "Joe, we gotta get a photo." They had a team that had completed World's Toughest Mudder.
Then, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, I was walking through a monster truck rally when some young drivers spotted me. "We're in the middle of our first Trifecta!"
And that's when it hit me: We didn't just build a brand. We built something that truly affects people's lives.
If you're in business—or thinking about starting something—you don't need to chase trends, hack the algorithm, or beg for attention.
When I created Spartan, I just wanted to help people get stronger, tougher, and better.
But when you create something that truly changes how people feel about themselves, it takes on a life of its own. It spreads.
You just need to solve a real problem for people. That's what lasts.
So if you're sitting on an idea, wondering if it's worth it, here's my advice:
✔ Think long-term. Overnight success is a myth. Real impact compounds over time. ✔ Build a community, not just a business. A strong movement grows beyond you. ✔ Let the mission lead. Money follows value. Always put the mission first. ✔ Stay consistent. Show up every day. The ones who last, win.
If you're working on something great, keep going.
Here's to the hard way,
Joe | | Stay Calm Under Pressure | Stress is inevitable, but how you handle it makes all the difference. Here are four ways to stay calm, focused, and strong—no matter what life throws at you.
Keep Training. Don't let stress derail your workouts. Training reduces mental stress and strengthens your immune system. Unless you're sick, stick to your program.
Get More Rest. Sleep is your secret weapon. Recovery is just as strengthening as training, so set an alarm for bedtime, not just for waking up.
Grow, Don't Shrink. Stressful times can be opportunities for growth. Learn a new skill, cook at home, or start reading that book. Prioritize relationships—spend time with the people who matter.
Manage Your Mind. Breathe deeply and identify what's truly stressing you. Question negative thoughts—are they real, or just fear talking? | | You Ask, Joe Answers | Q: Hey Joe, I want my kids to grow up tough and resilient, but it feels like today's world is making them soft. How do you raise strong kids? - Sarah M.
A: Hey Sarah, I've always believed if we don't challenge our kids, life will—and they won't be ready. Expose your kids to hard stuff: tough hikes, early mornings, having to work for the things they want. And most importantly, lead by example. If they see YOU choosing the hard path, they'll likely follow.
Aroo!
