JACK PHILLIPS APPEALS LATEST RULING

MATCH MY GIFT TO SUPPORT JACK

Friend: The Colorado Court of Appeals has ruled against cake artist Jack Phillips. Again.

Now, Jack is facing more time in court. More time away from the cake shop he built and doing what he loves. More time in the spotlight facing scrutiny. And more time standing up for the freedom to say what he believes without fearing government punishment.

All because the government is forcing him to celebrate a gender "transition."

We appealed this decision to the Colorado Supreme Court. And we need your help to protect Jack's right to live and speak the truth.

What's happened to Jack is a tale of intolerance-the intolerance of radical activists targeting, harassing, and punishing those who disagree with their beliefs.

It's amazing that after more than ten years, Jack is still fighting for his right to speak freely. You might remember that at the beginning of his journey, Jack was targeted because he cannot, in good conscience, create a custom cake celebrating a view of marriage against his faith. Jack cannot violate his conscience-and he shouldn't be forced to. No American should.

Then, after two wins, including one win at the U.S. Supreme Court, attacks on Jack still didn't stop. He continues to be harassed. A Colorado trial court punished him for not designing a cake that would celebrate a gender transition. Then an appeals court affirmed that decision earlier this year. ADF attorneys appealed this decision to the Colorado Supreme Court.

The request for this cake came from an activist attorney who said, under oath, the attorney wanted to "[c]orrect the errors of [Jack's] thinking."

Yet, Colorado has now ruled in favor of this attorney, against Jack-and you.

If Jack's right to speak freely isn't protected, your right to speak freely is also under threat. This is a crucial moment for Jack and for every American.

Will you give today and help defend Jack and the free speech of all Americans? Today, your gift will be matched-dollar for dollar-DOUBLING your impact, thanks to a $1.5 million matching grant. Don't miss this opportunity, while matching funds last!

Match My Gift

We're not going to quit on Jack, and we're asking that you don't either. We will continue to defend Jack's right to live and speak the truth in this critical lawsuit to the very end.

The relentless harassment of Jack has taken a severe toll.

He's lost years to litigation, most of his employees, and all of his wedding business, not to mention the personal toll on his family.

Now that Jack is facing more time in court, he could use your help now as much as ever.

He once had ten employees. He's now down to four, which includes Jack and his daughter. He's watched his wife and daughter be grilled by opposing attorneys in court. And he and his family have faced serious threats of violence.

Your support will mean so much to Jack, and to the future of religious freedom and free speech. We won't back down. And we won't give up on securing the right of every American to freely say what they believe. But we can't do that without the help of you and other dedicated friends of freedom.

Your gift today, to be doubled by the matching grant while funds last, will help protect freedom for your children and grandchildren. Jack's rights are at risk-and so are yours.

But because of friends like you, and a great God, we're hopeful for our future.

MATCH MY GIFT TO DEFEND JACK

For Jack,

Alliance Defending Freedom

P.S. Jack has been targeted and punished for declining to design a custom cake celebrating a "gender transition," which sends a message he doesn't believe. This is wrong. And Jack won't back down. He isn't ashamed of his beliefs, and because of his trust in the Lord, he continues to persevere. Will you stand with Jack and help defend Americans like him with a gift right now? Your gift will make twice the impact, while matching funds last!
