From Diane Schmidt, your About House & Home Editor
We all look forward. It's human nature to think of innovations, to be curious about what the future holds and to find ways to make our lives a little better. This week, we're looking at homes of the future, where design is unique, entertainment is enhanced, and green is the color of the day.

Houses of the Future
It wasn't until I read this article that I realized that prefab homes are not our parent's flimsy structures, but creative, innovative and elegant designs that anyone would be proud to call home.

New Home Theater Products for 2012
The future of television and home entertainment is contained within this fun and engaging gallery of the best from the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show. Find out everything you've ever wanted to know about OLED, no-glasses 3D TV, and massive-sized screens that outshine your local movie theater.

The New Generation of Hybrids

About.com

From Diane Schmidt, your About House & Home Editor
I know it's only the middle of February, but where I live there's a hint of spring in the air as trees attempt to bud, crocuses start to sprout and the daylight hours stretch just a little further. So regardless of whether you're still digging out of winter's snowy blast or sunning yourself beneath a palm, this week we're looking ahead to all things spring.

Plan Your Landscape for Spring
Nothing says spring like a new look to your front or backyard and while it may still be covered in snow, it's never too early to start planning what you'll do once the grass reappears. The perfect tool to revamp your outdoor space is right here.

Plan a Summer Garden
Just like your landscaping, a summer garden can be started indoors with this complete guide to planning, planting and caring for outdoor plants. Not only will this guide inspire you to get your hands dirty, but it's also the perfect reprieve from all that cold and snowy weather.

Spring Decorating on a Budget
Just like my outdoor space, I like to plan my indoor space, changing it up from season to season just to ensure I take advantage of the spring colors, soft textures and beautiful light.

What to Organize in Your Home & Office
Part of any plan for a spring cleaning should involve a complete re-organization of your home. While I never quite complete my list of things to organize, I feel better if I plan and dream about the day that everything in my home is in its place. And this where I start.
